Yes.
In Windows XP (or Vista and Windows 7 with UAC - User Access Control - disabled), you need the computer's Administrator right to install Bamboo.
In Windows Vista or Windows 7, you need either the computer's Administrator right; or the computer 's Administrator ready for UAC (User Access Control) Elevation prompt, if you do not have Administrator rights.
Q2: Do I need Administrator right to use Bamboo File Sync and Backup?
No. Any user of the computer can use Bamboo for file sync or copy.
However, if you are do not have Administrator rights, you may not be able to sync or copy the files or folders not accessible by you, like system files or files owner by other users.
Q3: Do I need to uninstall old version of Bamboo before I upgrade to newer version?
If you are upgrading from Bamboo 2.X to 3.0 or above, you will need to uninstall Bamboo 2.X before upgrade.
If you are upgrading from 3.0 or above, you only need to run the new version of installer over existing installation.
Q4: How do I uninstall Bamboo File Sync and Backup?
Go to Windows Control Pannel, select Add/Remove Program (XP) or Uninstall Program (Vista/7). Choose Bamboo File Sync and Backup, and follow the instruction of the uninstaller. Note that you may need to restart the computer.
Q5: Do I need Windows Administrator right to register license information for Professional Edition?
Yes.

Q6: How to enter license key information after upgrading to Professional edition?
Launch Bamboo Sync Center. Select "Help-->Enter Registration Info" from the main menu.
The registration dialog will pop up. Enter the registration information from the email you received upon Professional Edition purchase, and click "Register" button. Your Bamboo Free Edition is now upgraded to Profession Editon.
