Explorer Menu (Shell integration)

The Bamboo Explorer Menu is another convenient entry point for operations.  You can right-click on any folder in the Windows Explorer to show the following menu.     "Run...":  Bamboo will search all Folder Pairs defined and list out the ones that contain the folder you currently right-clicking on, so that you can either Run one of the related existing Folder Pairs or create a new Folder Pair and Run.   "Create Folder Pair": Directly launch the Folder Pair Wizard so that you can create a Folder Pair right from the right-clicked folder.   "Bamboo Sync Center":  Launch the Bamboo Sync Center main window.         Related Links: Bamboo Help Home Understanding...

System Tray / Notification Icon

The Bamboo Notification Icon (a.k.a. System Tray Icon for old school users) provides a convenient entry point for launching the Bamboo Sync Center main window, Run Folder Pairs or Batches, and view Running Folder Pair or Batch status.  When an execution of Folder Pair is completed, the Notification Icon will also show notification message to let you know the completion status. Batch Window

Batch is a collection of Folder Pairs grouped together for easier execution.  When you found that you have a few Folder Pairs that would usually be Run together one after another, you can consider grouping them together as a Batch.  Running a Batch is equivalent to Running the included Folder Pairs one by one. During a Folder Pair is being Run, no matter it is in Executing state or Paused state, you can: 1. Click the "View Running Details" link on the Folder Pair entry; or 2. Right-click on the Folder Pair entry, select "View Running Details"; or 3. Folder Pair Advanced Window

The design of the Folder Pair Wizard is targeted for quick and easy creation of a Folder Pair for copy or synchronize action.  If you want to fine tune the behavior of such copy or sync action, you will need Folder Pair Advanced Window.  The Advanced window could be opened by either: 1. Folder Pair Wizard

When you either click on the "New Folder Pair..." Toolbar button, or select "New Folder Pair..." from the "File" menu, the Folder Pair Wizard pops up.  This wizard guides you through the simple steps of defining a pair of folders as a Folder Pair so that different types of file copy or sync operations could be applied. Sync Center

The Sync Center window is the core operation window of Bamboo File Sync and Backup.  You can create Folder Pairs and view a list of all Folder Pairs.  You can defined a Batch of related Folder Pairs to be executed together.  You can kick start any execution and view their execution status.   1. Bamboo give you full control of exactly which file to be copied or synced and exactly how they are copied and synced.  You can control such advanced details by two simple concepts: WHAT and HOW.   WHAT to be copied / synced? 1. Sync more than one Folder Pair: Batch

If you find yourself needing to Run a series of Folder Pairs back to back very often, you may find grouping these related Folder Pairs together as a Batch very handy.  For example, you can setup independent Folder Pairs to backup your Music folder, your Picture folder, and your Favorite browser links.  You can run them separately whenever you wish.  But when you want to back them all up to the USB hard drive everyday before you leave office, you can add these Folder Pairs to a Batch and have them run back to back by just a single click to Run...

Folder Pair in action: Sync, Backup, and Merge folder

There are three categories of action you can defined for a Folder Pair.  You can specify one of the categories with either Folder Pair Wizard or Folder Pair Advanced Window (Actions Tab). Getting Started: Pairing Up Folders
